Hello readers! today I will talk you about the program of my career. I study History and theory of art, the program of my career has eight semesters, wich focus on history and aesthetics. In my opinion this program has shortcomings and i will tell you a bit about them. Firts, the main problem with this study program is that it bases its knowledge on western aesthetics, mainly European art. personally, this is a problem because it does not allow me to develop my interests and led me to complement my career in other institutions. I consider it important that a career like this one should incorporate Chilean art and pre-Columbian aesthetics into its program. I think that if this happens, there would be more interest of scholars and foreing students interested in learning and developing research in our country. Another one of the big problems is the connection of the theory with practice, matters of heritage conservation. Restoration courses have been taken out ...

Hello!!! I'll tell you about my favorite book today! When I was young, my grandfather had a library in Santiago, in this place there were many books of all kinds, but one called my attention: "Swallow of winter" by Victor Domingo Silva. Víctor Domingo Silva was a Chilean poet and artist, wrote many novels and received many prizes of literature. Winter Swallow is first published in 1912 as a "leaflet" in a magazine. This romantic novel unfolds in a state called "The Rosales" where two brothers lived alone, after the death of their parents (Jose Antonio and Anita). A neighboring family, resident in the "Painahuén" hacienda, received, during the summer, visits from Santiago. (Graciela and Felix). Because of this, the protagonist falls in love, however, Graciela, a liberal woman, tries to get away from Jose Antonio. The story becomes interesting because the author narrates details, smells, sensations. I think what I really like is t...

Hello Readers ! in this blog entry I will try to write about my future job. In the future I would like job in Conservation heritage, particulary of pre Columbian textiles. I think the techniques of textiles are very wonderful, because the "techniques" are the representation of society and religion. In the Andes the fuctions of the textile are diverse, you can find them in all social relationship, for example in the Inca empire there were two types of exchange, one to Kuraka and one to Pachamama , this is called " Reciprocidad " . The exchange are not only economic, also are religious. I hope to work in a museum and doing research. For me conservation is very important, because it allows us to know and to protect the intangible heritage. My dream is to travel for America knowing different techniques and indigenous communities. I hope, i can live from my job, I dont need a big salary, but I need money! The next step in my career is to do a pos...

Hello readers!!! today i will talk to about my favorite tv show! i hope you liked to. This tv show was so important for childrens of my generation ¡hey Arnold! Hey Arnold is an animated series, which was broadcast on Nickelodeon from 1996 to 2004. The show focuses on an Arnold, who lives with his grandparents in a boarding house. The episodes show the life of a fourth-grader and the adventures with his friends in a fictional town called Hillwood. Arnold has a strange balloon head, is very atypical like all his friends. Sometimes he feels sad because he does not have a normal family, but he is still very optimistic and happy. My favorite character is Helga G. Pataki, a girl from her school who was in love with him. She is rude because she needs to hide her love for Arnold. I will not continue to count more because I think everyone saw it or not? well I hope so. Hey, Arnold! was so relevant to me because I have many cute memories of my childhood watching that series, I remember ...

In this trip, we visit a lot of places, we went to La Paz up to the bolivian jungle, our trip lasted for two months. This trip is very memorable because I met a part of me that I did not know ¡my love for textile techniques! I love pre-Columbian textile arts! In Bolivia, you can meet weavers, many types of looms and different indigenous communities. In Sucre, it exists a weaver community. I knew in Sucre a weavers community, they taught me the technique of waist loom and to identify different ways for weaving. Learning this technique developed in me a new appreciation of the world. That holiday was important in many ways because I knew a lot more than just places. I hope you like this blog entry! Bolivia was a magical place for me and for my best friend. see you next week!! ...

Hello readers!! Today I will tell you about the country that I would like to visit. For starters, I love traveling, so for me, any destination would make me very happy, but since I have to choose just one country, I would choose Guatemala. I would love to visit Guatemala, the country is known as the "land of eternal spring", it does not have extreme climates and always shines the sun. it is a beautiful country, full of culture and beautiful people. In Guatemala the Mayan culture is mixed with the European colonial heritage. It is a unique country whith Mayan ruins and indigenous communities that continue living from their ancestral traditions. The traditions, color, art and Mayan ruins are surrounded by natural landscapes, where living culture is a testimony of Mayan ancestors. There is a national park called "Tikal" word that means place of voices and is the largest maya city until now known and studied. It has spectacular mayan temples protected...
